    The viaduct was constructed between Awsworth and Ilkeston to carry the Great Northern Railway Company’s Derbyshire and Staffordshire extension across the Erewash Valley crossing of the Erewash Valley between Awsworth and Ilkeston and is now preserved for walkers and cyclists

    1. Wonderful piece of engineering. I know it's not possible to save every disused bridge but it's good that this one has been and has been repurposed for public use.

      I've plenty of panoramic's of the viaduct and surrounding area, in all seasons.
      It never gets old trying to take photo's in all weather.
