The Calanques1, also known as the Calanques of Marseille or the Calanques of Cassis or the Calanques massif, are made up of a succession of coves and inlets extending over more than twenty kilometers of coastline on the Mediterranean Sea between the Marseille districts of Madrague de Montredon and Les Goudes on the one hand, and from Cap Croisette to the Port-Miou cove, the only one located on the territory of the city of Cassis2, on the other hand. They are spread over the coastline of the Marseilleveyre massif and Mont Puget and are part of the Calanques National Park.
