As a Millwall chap , strange to say I like both of these firms – they are game , good for a scrap, laugh & a good day out. I ain't saying they're the best or nothing just got a soft spot through numerous days out & the beer in Coventry used to be pretty good if I recall correctly.

6.57 fans got battered at Ashton Gate when tried to get into main stand. They were battered out the stadium. 1992/3 I think

Let me correct you , about 3 months after the game the local news paper released photos of all the fans police wanted. Most were shamed into handing themselves in. A couple went on trial but most pleaded guilty and were sentences together, most recieved community service but all were given football banning orders. Some coventry fans were dealt with much earlier and a few got banged up, but by the time the pompey fans got sentenced a memo had gone out saying there was no room in the prisons. Only one pompey fan did time for it, by the time sentences came around he was inside for something else so had a few months added.
