During her month-long residency at Cycle Up! in Tartu, Jana De Troyer (@jana.detroyer) immersed herself in Estonia’s vibrant cycling culture, engaging in exploration, workshops, and creative expression. Her residency aimed to connect, collaborate, and inspire public participation in sustainable artistic projects that emphasise the importance of cycling. Watch out for future projects at the intersection of cycling, music and community!

The CYCLE UP! sustainable residency programme believes that artists play a vital role in envisioning sustainable solutions for urban mobility challenges. Through the 2024 residencies in Berlin, Bratislava, Katowice, Tartu, and Prague, artists created interventions that inspired local decision-makers and invited communities to imagine bike-friendly, inclusive spaces.
