  1. Apathy, Mental dissonance, unfortunately it's real and you touched on it, "fascism for them, not you". Followed by apathy of those who vote in non swing states know our vote will end blue or red and does not matter due to electoral college.

  2. At this point I am just sweating bullets that the ability for a president to excercise any political outlet is because of schedule F. That alone gives ridiculous power with supreme court giving immunity. That is more scary to me then anything that has been seen in a long time in the us

  3. Your caller sounds like too many of the Muslim men, angry about Netanyahu and saying that they can "tolerate" Trump (somehow forgetting they had been threatened by Trump with deportation in the Trump 'presidency". on Day One!

  4. JD Vance is even more concerning than Trump. And behind him even more concerning in White Christian Nationals! All bad news for the world.
Look into drug use of Trump and his political pals. 😮🫨

  5. James Obrien, adjudicator of the Overton Window cannot see ANY similarities between Bush, Johnson, and Trump because “Corbyn”. 🤦‍♂️
ALL western nations political structures allows centre-right to extreme right parties to get within 1000 miles of power, by deploying money from corporate or oligarch interests via media to define the allowable scope of debate, James represents the Starmer end of that scope (centre right at best) and panics from time to time over whether he sounds too much like a lefty… 🤣🤣🤣
This US election, like all western elections is a fight between corporate capitalism (longer return on investment for the already wealthy) and oligarchical capitalism (no handcuffs, quick profits, fascists allowed), neither side represents actual people from any category below corporate senior management. This IS and HAS BEEN western politics since Thatcher and Ragan, and until we have people in the media with the courage to educate people about that, absolute fascism will remain an ever-present threat.

  6. The most important result of Trump winning would be that Britain won't be dragged into another foreign forever war meatgrinder conflict to feed the endless greed of corporate American puppet masters and the US military industrial complex…by our own financial parasitic political class grifters eager to sink their own corrupt snouts up to their eyebrows into the smaller scale military aid tax farming racket embezzlement routine their American owners are making themselves filthy rich from👍 also half the worlds billionaires would have to explain why they were on Epstein's flight logs😱 and deal with the fallout from the videos being released to the public😱😭
Which might possibly create a domino effect where those in power will be given similar scrutiny for the past actions they managed to cover up and get away with themselves💀

  7. James the multi millionaire doesn't need to worry it's all been arranged, Kamala Harris is so popular even the dead are going to vote for her 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💙🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💙🤣🤣🤣💙🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  8. Give me a break. The majority of Trump supporters are so thick they haven't a clue what fascism is, nor do they have a clue of historical events

  9. James, while you were rudely talking over the first speaker, he was making the point you were scratching your head about – it happens incrementally. Bush is part of the problem/permission structure.

  10. EU will be inviting even more ukrainian refugees if trump wins so goes against the right narrative be horrific if trump wins for the world never mind ukraine dreadful a vile nightmare for the us

  11. Everyone here pretending to be morally upright on the issue going on in the ME, including this presenter, is nothing but hypocrites or, better still, haters of one side. If your morality does not push you to give half the attention given to news coming from Gaza to what's going on in the Sudan or in Nigeria that has millions of people internally displaced and dying of hunger due to the activities of boko haram, ISWAP and other islamist groups operating in northern Nigeria. Your moral lenses are clearly jaundiced!

  12. Fascism thrives in Late Stage Capitalism . When people are broke, uneducated and looking for scraps fascism is an easy answer. All of this is capitalist Neo Liberal Policies have gotten us here. From Jimmy Carter to Clinton to George Bush. James

  13. If Trump wins the whole world will eventually, over the coming decades, be drawn into a war against fascism, as our ancestors were and died and suffered for but this time the world's greatest military power will be on the side of the fascists. It will be catastrophic for all peaceful democratic populations if Trump wins. Trump and what would follow him after he dies will be much worse than we thought. It is a frailty of the human condition that we can not conceive of how bad it could be and take preventative action against it.

  14. The fertility rate section was interesting. I think there previously was just a societal expectation that people just have children without giving it much thought. I think now people do really think about bringing children into this world. Myself and my partner met in our mid 30s. We don't have children and we consciously decided not to have them due to our age. The overriding reason was that because my partner's parents had her when they were in their 40s we are now finding in our mid 40s that our lives are now dominated by looking after her elderly parents. Her mum has dementia and her dad has mobility issues and a myriad of health issues. We don't have much of a life of our own and we live in pretty much a constant state of stress about when the next health emergency or care need will arise as my partner's parents' health deteriorates. We've been providing my partner's parents with care and support now for the best part of 10 years and it has had such an impact on our lives. We are now convinced that we made completely the right decision to not have children of our own in our late 30 or 40s, as we wouldn't want to put any potential children through what we are experiencing. Our similarly aged friends who's parents had them in their 20s and who don't have to care for their parents are getting on with working hard, climbing their career ladders and enjoying their lives, and we can't help but feel that our lives are on pause until that time my partner's parents no longer need us to care for them and support them anymore.
