Maximilian Grabner was born on 2 October 1905 in Vienna, then part of Austria-Hungary. After Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany in January 1933, he fully intended to bring about an Austro-German union.
The Anschluss, as it became known, took place over three days between the 11th and 13th of March 1938. 6 months later, at the beginning of September 1938 Grabner joined the SS and rose to the rank of SS-Untersturmführer, which was equivalent to the 2nd Lieutenant. The Second World War began on the 1st of September 1939 when Nazi Germany invaded Poland. From November the same year, Grabner worked as a criminal secretary at the State Police Office in Polish Katowice, which was annexed by the German Reich. At the end of May 1940, he became head of the Political Department in the newly established Auschwitz concentration camp, as it was located in his police district. His position in the camp hierarchy was ambivalent, as on one hand he had to follow the disciplinary and administrative orders of the camp commandant, but on the other hand, he was only subordinate to his superior Gestapo departments in the performance of his official duties. Grabner’s staff carried out the “intensified interrogations” he ordered on suspected prisoners, during which they were systematically tortured and then imprisoned in the bunker of Block 11.

    1. If he was "lucky" Albert Pierrepoint administered his execution. I don't know if it was Albert or not. We are quite pleased he suffered terror at his execution. The same was true with Leventry Beria, the head of Stalin's secret police, when he was about to have a bullet installed through the back of his head in Russia.

Beria collapsed in tears and raging and screaming for his life. Finally, one of his guards stuffed a rag up his mouth. It would have been interesting to ask Beria if he was more "terrified" of the bullet, or immediately AFTER the bullet. Beria had to "wonder" if he was going to face judgment. Same with Grabner. We just assume these people are atheists.

Most atheists are "normal" people who just don't believe in God and probably have no particular history of personal sin. They just assume there will be nothing after their death. For atheists, it's not much of an issue. Most atheists are kind, decent and normal people.

But the whole pattern is different for a monster. They may/may not have to face judgment. It certainly is a huge gamble for them.

    2. You could show this at all of Trump's hate rallies and not one of the MAGAt fascists there would see all the parallels between the rise of Hitler and Cheeto Mussolini. 🤬👎🤮🤡

    3. German, Germany, and GERMAN GOVERNMENT, is a hypocritical, condescending nation, people, and regime today after the defeat of Nazis Germany. German, as a race, shall never again gain respect from any other nations and people for what they have committed during Nazis Regime. Their cruel, bestial barbarism cannot be described in any civilised language. As for Austrian, a willing collaborator, sympathiser and accessory to Holocaust, they too, are equally EVIL and UNFORGIVABLE.

    4. Today, German Nazi party AFD praises officially Hitler and denies the Holocaust. I'm both disgusted and afraid whats going on especiwlly in the eastern part of our country.

    5. I'm having a hard time in understanding why Nazis are constantly blasted in these documentaries whereas the communists conveniently forgotten. Communism did and is still causing incomparably greater number of victims than fascism did. Is it because the entire planet is under a authoritarian form of communism?!?!

    6. Good Men have to take care that the hearts and minds of their neighbors do not stray towards evil. Remember that these people ( Nazis) were mostly raised in Christian homes in a professed to be, Christian Nation. They committed atrocities that make even Atheist and Agnostic people physically ill. We as a Society, regardless of Religious beliefs or lack of belief in a higher power at all MUST beware of our own darkness inside of us. This propensity to dehumanize our fellow man. ANY philosophy or belief system that espouses that certain members of OUR race the human race are lesser beings and less than human is EVIL and an unacceptable fractured philosophy which fails on its face and is anathema to goodness and righteous belief in the truth of mankind. If we do not prevent such evil, degenerate belief from poisoning the truth, compassion, human understanding and care of which the human race is capable it will choke out any and all of what remains of our good tendencies and ultimately lead to the destruction of all.
