Château Balestard La Tonnelle has a unique wine bottle label. It is inscribed with a poem from the Middle Ages by François Villon, which has been on the label since the 19th century. It is a poem by François Villon who praises the merits of Balestard’s wine, speaking of it as a divine nectar. In that period it was rare to express your feelings. Villon was always haunted by death, but wine made him forget his neurosis.
Before lunch, we also visit Chateau de Chambrun on the parcel Lalande de Pomerol to see their wine-making method and the cellar.
Bordeaux, in France, is famous for wine. The historic streets are used as Paris in period films. In our Bordeaux city film, we see them changing the shopfronts so it double for Paris in 1830 for a Polish film Chopin, Chopin.
We taste Vegan food, and wine, and see the mirror of water. Let Jean show you Bordeaux in our film =
Bordeaux is more of a river cruise destination than an ocean cruise, although some smaller ships will take you there. Bordeaux may be offered as a tour from La Rochelle.
