I remembered White Horses as being Eastern European. It was, according to Wikipedia, a Yugoslavian and German co-production.
22:05 scotland and wales are not regions. In the same way that England is not a region. They are all countries. I know you dont mean it in a bad way but just for clarification as its often misunderstood
Wonderful video! I did something similar in Italy many years ago. Great holiday, but I will never ride solid rubber tapered bike tires again. But what a cycling experience. And soon there will be a lot of cycling on the sunny coast in Spain in the future. Hint hint……..
Wow. Forty minutes of a superb cycling adventure. I was in Girona in 2022 with my group from Toronto and visited Eat Sleep Cycle. Great times. Will be Mallorca in 2025.
It would have been good to do that ride with you and Steve (and meet some new folks too).
Our local cycle shop has fat bikes with that burnt orange colour and some speckling/sparkling. They looked pretty good too—half tempted to trade in my dull grey one for some colour.
I’ll go check the gravel bike channel.
The biologist in me is curious as to what bit you. Pity you didn’t get a look at it 🙂
Do you just enjoy to no end making people so jealous they can't see straight?
Looks fab place to.visit one day I certainly wanna visit France 🇫🇷 ❤
Hope Steve makes full recovery 😢
Hail the Espana 🇪🇸 part love it❤
Hope you get speedy recovery Lee!
Love the vid as usual, also follow path less pedaled, surprised Russ didn’t point out difference between bikepacking and credit card touring
I like to do trips like this so much, that I do it for 3-4 weeks in a row. I also have the luggage on the bike and without a group, I can decide about the route and where to go each day according to weather and how I feel. Distances are like yours, 50-80km on a typical day. I think it's much more satisfying to ride from place to place than in circles or up to a mountain and back.
An epic adventure indeed. 🚴👍
What a journey. Ups and downs! Glad you had some fun.
Nice ride..
Did I see some e-bikes?
Looks amazing I wouldn't know where to start, to organise this sort of thing
I love when my favorite cycling YouTubers meet up.
Nice ride Leonard, sorry about our insects – they def pack a punch! Did they identify it from the bite? Just a quickie – Catalans voted 90% to 7% for independence at the referendum but the turnout was only 43% – not surprising as the national police put 1000 voters in hospital that day…
Leonard, first off may I say how much I enjoy your channel. Having said that however I must take exception to your latest vlog. You say you're bike packing, but you're not!
If you are not carrying all your stuff on your bike then you are in fact just doing a series of day rides, the clues in the name! That being said great vid, keep up the good work.
Great video, and works well in a longer format than ususal. Surprised to see that no one has commented on the 'bike bike' in the title!
Lovely trip but it's only bikepacking if you have bags attached to your bike with camping. I am going for a 3 day trip next week and staying in hotels so I am carrying little so I don't even consider that trip bikepacking. Regards from a proud caveman
Bikepacking – "you keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means"
Thanks Leonard great video. I hope by now you and Steve have fully recovered. Love the idea about getting your luggage moved on as well. I know Russ from his channel and its great he made the correct decision in moving there. Perhaps more importantly its great to see a fellow rotund cyclist riding the demanding route that you did .Ted
Love your stuff, but that isn’t Bikepacking to me anyway
Nice place but
Bike… yeah, packing erm … none
It’s just a series of shorter supported day rides surely ? Can’t see any “Bikepacking gear” on any of the bikes
Now the “not cavemen” tbh is a bit of an insult to those who do like cycling and camping without prescribed shipping of gear between set locations I.e that’d be me for one
The whole point of it is that to some, that’s actually exactly what it is about.
Sorry to have a go about it but tbh, I personally (I stress that) think the tone of the Caveman thing is fine for you but if you’d said it to my face about what I believe Bikepacking is and what I do, you’d have had a very direct response
Each to his own … but as far as I’m concerned you just called me and those who actually do Bikepacking Cavemen. Whilst you may be in some way correct for me, who are you to say that
You may have some nice road bike mates and a big following but that’s just Trumpian in the level of tone deaf
Ps, hope the guy who crashed is ok though
