  1. I've noticed that on the Engine Pro 2.0 the pedal assist level works as to reach a certain speed rather than that the torque sensor should get a certain amount of leg power amplification, no? I find it a bit strange. Maybe I'm missing something in the settings though. Thanks!

  2. I have a 50cc motorbike that does 30mph and i dont understand why ebikes aren't allowed the same speed and power, i think my engine makes about 2500 watts at maximum revs. If they want to keep the same 15.5mph then atleast let us have 1000w of power so the bikes arent slowing to a crawl as soon as they encounter a slight incline.

  3. you are right 11 billion would buy all us oap's and disabled who might want an E bike, we could even rent them on the cheap or buy them on the drip, But 15 miles an hour stupid rule hoofed out by morons 30 miles an hour far better for the road and 15 too fast for the pavement.

  4. You are so correct. My ebike changed my life. It allows me to get about as a disabled older person.
My recommendation, put a " smile your on camera 📷 " sticker on the back. Trust me it works, cars lorries etc, they give me room and folks leave me the fook alone when I'm out. 😊

  5. This labour government doesn't care about the working people and the working class.
All we are to them is a way and means of taxing more and more so that we end up working longer and having less.
No government wants ebikes in this country as they will certainly lose revenue and tax from it so will end up trying everything possible to outlaw them.
It with end up being the same soon for electric vehicles as they will wait for more people to have them and then bam slap tax after tax on them.
Other countries provide an infrastructure for cyclists and support cycling but this country will never do that as it won't make money and they simply don't care if we are able to get around or not.
People need to stick together and make their voices and views heard if anything is likely to change and until this happens we are going nowhere fast.
You won't be demonised by me all the real people behind this that are happily riding ebikes for fun and enjoyment and to enjoy nature simply because it enables us to get out and enjoy what we have.

  6. The government doesn't give a toss about climate change, nor do they care about peoples health either, especially when they are past working age. It's just power and money always the priority.

In fact next general election if a party leader stood up and said im doing this for the power and the money, I might actually consider voting for them on the basis of at least they're being honest unlike any politician ever.

  7. Well said m8 I am 56 and have anxiety and depression and thinking of getting a m1 pro to get me out and about .but I think it will make me scared to go out because if I am stop and thay take it off me I will be stuck because I don't like travelling in cars or buses . Hope things change soon

  8. i got the pro 2 750w and throttle, I use it in ass 2 and 3 ,15mph is more than fast enough ,if you want more buy a moped, im 70 done 600 miles in 2 weeks and lost 1 and half stone . its idiots riding about doing 30 to 40 miles an hour that are the problem. and you cant fix stupid. i get 40 miles out my battery and i carry a spare so no worries .

  9. I doubt we'll see any change to the ebike rules in this parliament. During the consultation, all the industry bodies were against changing the motor power/throtlle/speed limits. Even people in the last government don't really know how the consultation got started as they weren't particularly interested in changing the law. I think what is more likely is a crack down by the police on illegal ebikes, after there is an increase in the number of pedestrians being injured by idiots on high power bikes.

  10. I don't think people have any concept of speed. 30 mph is easily achievable on an analogue bike, and those that live in the city, have a look at your cars average speed whilst out and about. I used to regularly struggle to average much more than 20mph. Getting hit at 20by a car vs a bike. No brainer. Bike doesn't require fossil fuels no brainer. How come you can buy a Porsche and do 150mph on a 70mph road but u get a bike that can do 27mph and everyone loses their shit. Backwards world where things only progress if some rich twat can make some money out of it zzzzzz

  11. Time to fuck this country off , our grandfather's gave their lives for it & the jobs now fked , I'm actively looking to leave this shithole & take my hard working- tax paying ass elsewhere

  12. Im seriously going to buy the Ovia. Im fucked,i want to get out,im going mad! No government in this country and certain other countries are not interested because they get no money from it,no tax,no fuel duty etc. No revenue! Labour say they are the party of the People? Ive just retired i want to live whats left. Well said you! 👍

  13. My argument about the speed limitation is; how can they limit a speed an E-bike to 15.5 MPH and NOT limit car engines to be limited to 70 MPH? just because it can go faster, doesn't mean you will go faster.
Infact going slower on a higher power E-Bike just results in a greater range , most people that want to buy a E-Bike want the reassurance that they will have enough power to make the trip, not max the motor out and ride around full throttle do maximum speed!
I don't drive and never have, i have heart failure so peddling a push bike is not recommended. so a E-Bike would be great, but not with these limitation.
I am forced to use public transport thanks to these laws.

  14. This is all I could find in the Labour Party Manifesto 2024 relating to cycling.

Cars remain by far the most popular form of transport. Labour will maintain and renew our road network, to ensure it serves drivers, cyclists and other road users, remains safe, and tackles congestion

Labour will give mayors the power to create unified and integrated transport systems, allowing for more seamless journeys, and to promote active travel networks.

  15. Take away the winter payments from people who worked all their life. But keep on giving the bums who have kids £90 a week per child every Holiday. That they spend on lavish items.

  16. The only reason they come down on E-bikes is that they haven't worked out how to Tax them, yet! I'm looking to get one to get to and from work when it's dry. Using my car FAR less.

  17. I'd love to use an ebike to to get work any back but how the laws are I'm not risking having the wrong one and getting points on my licence, another joke is I've got a full unrestricted motorbike licence and I'm getting quotes of £1200 for a 125cc 🤦

  18. recently got my 1st ebike L20 SE..ivve been pretty much housebound due to serious health…ive been out more in the last 2 weeks than i have in ten years, my mental health has improved and that smile of joy i get has returned…the amount of people i talk when out is great..15 mph is more than enough for me, Im 56 and wish i got one years a go..

  19. I go out on my ebike more than my car. I'm doing my bit for climate. I have a car for the long journeys. But for going to the shop, ect, i use the ebike. People in cars over take me at 15mph, 20mph not so much and 25-27mph never overtake me. My belief is on foot paths 15.5 mph is ok. I always slow down when passing people and have courtesy for other people. But, on the road when your with vehicles its safer to be going 25mph, i dont have people overtaking me, ( unless and idiot trying to get home in a hurry) throttle is way better in many situations, i use throttle when i need to. It has saved me a couple of times, from cars, not ebikes. They are the way forward, and when the government see that, the better. They go on about saving the planet. Here, have a cardbored straw. But, when it comes to the things that would make a massive impact, they are like no, you can't do this and that. 500w isn't enough for heavier people. 1000w – 1500w is ok for that. It's not the power. But the speed they should be focusing on. Bmw m3, etc. can do massive speed, and they are legal. But the speed limit on a motorway is 70. You tell me that they do that speed. Because they dont! 15mph on foot maths but 25mph on roads is safer. They need to look at this. Its the speed they should be governing, not the watts of a motor.

  20. Love my Ebike and i ride responsible. Its a great way to travel. Ebikes cut pollution in urban areas the more people using bicycle and Ebikes and E-scooters the better. But Government and police are going make using one harder. Not easier. The law should be like USA Ebike law. It makes sense

  21. well allot of fire could be the battery can handle say 3amp charge and some daft people go out and buy a 5 amp charger thinking it will charge faster and what it does is start a fire so people need to educate them self on proper use

  22. also id like to add when you got open borders then all there laws are wrong because its like these people can come over with no id but we get hastle for ebike
