    1. Wow thats a blast from the past, apart from obviously hearing his commentory i actually worked with him in Australia in Sydney, well not with him in the same building office space, nice fella i thought. White International was the company i worked at he was doing a Pod cast radio station that White International hire out office spaces for, so cool seeing him on this vid.

    2. Oh how I'd have loved to be a fly on the wall at that flat to listen to Martin and Bob Willis talk. Those of us who follow cricket know that Bob was a fine cricket commentator himself.

    3. Genuinely captivating and incredible interview. You've always been amazing, Ellis, but this might be the best interview you've ever done. Could listen to Martin Tyler talk for hours, but you also had some fantastic questions, and the amount of research you did shone through. It felt like a natural conversation that flowed perfectly, and that takes a special kind of talent to make an interview sound natural.

    4. Seems like a nice humble guy, but thank god he doesn't commentate on Liverpool matches anymore. You could tell he hated us and loved teams like man u dominating the prem as it made sky sports more money in advertising.

    5. Ellis I’m only 16 but I’ve watched you since I was 6 I’m obsessed with football shirts and watching you get this big and having your own series with legends is amazing and I love you even though I’m a man united fan
      Great going Ellis

    6. I think this might be my favourite episode ever because it's seeing football through a lens we hear but don't appreciate the nuances of what they do. In that same vein if you could get an ex ref I think that would be fascinating

    7. That aguero moment commentated by Martin may have just been the best moment of my life as a football fan. Man city fan for all my life from New Zealand, finally got the chance to watch them play live last year. Martin has been a constant throughout the last nearly two decades of watching the beautiful game, what a guy, what a guest.

    8. You've come a long way with your interviewing skills, Ellis. Martin gave you great compliments, I think he see's the potential in you in a football commentating capacity.
Oh, and random info but the Vienna derby you went to a year or so ago I was at. Infact I would have been next to you if I hadnt ended up in the wrong section next to it with the barrier.

    9. I find it confusing that people worry about the "bias" of commentators. So what if they are biased? They can't affect the game! They're just describing it!
