It seems to me that most often the phone drivers I catch are in Range Rovers. Also, just wait for all the complaints about me riding on the pavement.

You can report road crime online here in London: https://www.met.police.uk/ro/report/rti/rti-a/report-a-road-traffic-incident/

    1. it is against the law to cycle on pavements in the UK. It states under the Highway Code Rule 64 that as a cyclist, you must not cycle on the pavement. This is also backed up by law, under the Highway Act 1835, and Roads (Scotland) Act 1984.

    2. I have been driving Monday through Friday in London for over 40 years. IMHO, Taxi drivers are the worst, followed closely by Range Rover wallies and soon after that smart car drivers. I have also noticed an increase in TFL buses crossing at red.

    3. My sister drives a Range Rover, no points in 25 years. She does live in a village that’s hard to get to, so I’ll let her off on the Range Rover, keep nagging her to get a proper off roader Toyota. She doesn’t drive the RR in cities, so a mark for that. It cost £80/90 grand in 2014 it’s now worth zero. My old Toyota hybrids worth more

    4. There has been research that large SUVs and 4×4 sre driven more dangerously as they infer a false sense of safety – they are essentially by design more hazardous to 3rd parties than other vehicles

    5. Its not just the Met that don't have the resources, the courts also have a massive backlog unfortunately. Hopefully someone who knows them will see this and the embarrassment of being on YouTube might change their behaviour..

    6. I personally think it's an over-blown sense of self-importance which people in "luxury" cars get (hence buying the car in the first place). They feel they're so important rules about mobile phones don't apply because their phone use is so incredibly important (as part of their breath-taking contribution to society). Of course most of the time they're actually on Whatsapp or flicking through Instagram but in their fictional deluded world of excessive self-worth that's important in their super-important life. Certainly more important that the life of some of the pleb road-user. Who knows, they might just have more money than decency. It seems bizarre that some drivers have a phone-holder (IE showing some awareness of the law) but then use it while hand-held anyway…..

    7. why are some people so addicted to their mobile phones that they are willing to risk other road users safety because answering their text right away is so important, if you are thar addicted then switch off your mobile phone when you are driving

    8. A warning letter will not be enough to convince this driver to change their antisocial behavior. A lot of times, the best that you can do, is the best that you can do. Good effort, Mikey.

    9. Who checks that the Police are not issuing warning letter only to their friends or masonic brother/family thereof? Hmm. Surely a universal application is better for us all?

    10. Man they do have the resources, all the letters are preformatted it's very easy for them to send her an NIP, then they get 6 months to prosecute her once they've done that which is plenty of time.

They just gave you a reference letter back to fob you off.

    11. Complains about drivers not paying attention to the road ahead whilst not looking ahead so also not paying attention to the road ahead. Seems about right for people like Mikey.

    12. Why does it take more resources to send a penalty notice rather than a warning letter. A warning letter can only be sent if there is an offence and so the video has been reviewed and assessed. The driver pays for the awareness course. Is it really just to avoid the additional court cases???

    13. Does a FPN piece of paper cost more than the sheet of paper with the warning on? Im not sure a lack of resources is the issue. Same paper, same ink, one generates revenue, one doesnt.

    14. A warning letter. The Met, of all organisations, may well have not the resources to prosecute or follow through thoroughly these offences, and so have to issue a warning. Well, at the end of it all, if a warning is able to dissuade the offenders from offending aain, thumbs up. Let them be caught out offending again, then yeah, deal with them.

    15. Woe betide me to be critical of you Mikey but I would have rung my bell before passing that pedestrian on the shared space path, especially with them in the centre. Maybe you did but it wasn't clear on the video. 🙂

    17. uve gone overboard with what was a fantastic idea(gandalf corner) the kerb crawling peerin into almost stationary cars is just pathetic. im aware that no phone means NO PHONE while operating a vehicle, but at 1-2mph in a backlog of maybe 10 or 15 cars is just OVER THE TOP! ur obsessed, uve become a mobile voyeur, peekin into these cars. its just creepy an im surprised uve not been REALLY beaten up yet! also all these newer cars with the state of the art 10-12inch sized screens using whatsapp and texts etc is just as dangerous as a bloody phone IMO! even u cycling and recording is a bloody distraction to how your riding! stick to gandalfs corner an quit the kerb crawlin on 2 wheels!

    18. Here in the U.S. it’s the Tesla driver. Maybe the whole EV thing has gotten to their brain 🧠 but some Tesla drivers are literally insane.
