In a peaceful neighbourhood away from the hustle of central Paris, Pierre Savajol, founder of PS Studio, transformed his 60sqm/645sqft apartment into a playful, functional, and stylish home and home office for him and his partner. Maximising the high ceilings and large windows, Savajol removed all interior walls to craft a large open-plan living area, integrating the kitchen, living room, and office into a flexible layout that can be opened or partitioned as needed. Clever space-saving solutions include a retractable staircase leading to a cosy mezzanine, hidden storage, and multifunctional spaces, with playful touches like a hammock and a colourful tile palette.

    1. It's hard to believe that this space is only 645 sqft! It's so bright and airy and I think the organization of the different spaces within the greater space is so cleverly done. Dividing the bathroom as they did allow them privacy while they have guests and I think too that guests would appreciate not having to enter a private space. The fact that they were able to fit in two comfortably wide desks into that snug office is quite a feat too. This has to be one of my favorite apartments shown on NTS. Well done!

    2. It’s incredible how with all that space and beautiful structure he managed to make the most bland apartment I’ve seen on the channel. And also no, this is not small at all.

    3. I like the layout for the most part. Personally I'd have the secret door going into the bedroom rather than the bathroom. Have the kitchen go right up to the wall (where the door is now) and make a secret door instead of a regular door. And have a regular door in the middle of the kitchen layout to the bathroom. You can still have a moveable set of drawers in front of the bathroom door. But a secret door to the bedroom would be great to me. Make it look like it doesnt exist like it is a secret hideaway. Just my way to make it more private.

    4. Tout est super malin, c’est beau, c’est minimaliste mais vivant ! J’aime tout! Je crois que c’est mon appartement préféré de la chaîne !!!! ❤

    5. Great place, but it’s huge? The kitchen alone is the size of a studio apartment in Sydney. Not sure why NTS is straying from its namesake. He literally says in the into that it’s two apartments joined together.

    6. I liked the overall design but would never use a hammock indoors as you already have a lovely sofa. The drying rack is brilliant but would never ask a guest to sleep in a space meant for storage 🙂 well done
