On the legendary Congo River, Commander Aimé is at the helm of a gigantic wooden raft the size of a football field. With his men, he is trying to transport 220 tree trunks linked together by cables from Kisangani to Kinshasa. The raft is also the cheapest means of transport for the most deprived who wish to reach the capital. On board, danger is daily, injuries, sandbanks and storms do not spare the men. For those who take the trails along the river, the conditions are not better. Without public transportation, travelers have no choice but to board freight trucks for an epic journey.

Our leaders, the government could have prevented this , but instead of fixing the roads and providing for the population all the money go into their pockets. What world we leaving? In 2024 some part of Africa still like this, this is too much and unacceptable!
In many of African countries, even for private company etc to replace the roads is forbidden.
Now for my African continent people, this is after the white and came and left, . what would it have been without the European in Africa ???
One new govt came and first thing was to close Banks @?d people's money. New business they can't start and old ones they can't finance.
อยู่กันได้อย่างอดทน😢😢
This could be the richest country in Africa.
There are people worse off than you, only the dead ceased from the agony of life, and even then, only few have known peace.
Ezek ősemberek! Ezek egy más faj! Ezek primitív ostoba lények! Nemy egy faj a fehér meg a nigger!!

The Belgian take the diamond and gold ..
The county is very rich, but the people are very poor?!!
Wow, just doing something very basic turns into an odyssey. Just when you think life has dealt you a misfortune or your chips are down you realize how fortunate you are to be alive.
😢
They should fill the road with water and send…This can protect them from mud
Their average speed was 2.4km/hour. The average walking speed is around 5 kilometers per hour (km/h).
These guys never thought of using TWO boats.. maybe three or four? It couldn't cost all that much to have a boat or two next to these rafts to guide them. For safety.. saving lives and isht… Like a tug boat.🙄😂😂❤❤👏👏👏🍄
Lord Forgive me for being ungrateful
Dear God please bless the people of Congo 😢
the clam village is soo beautiful and the Congolese are very resilient
They are not under white man rule they have their freedom just to bad they have no freedom trapped like always race is not problem
30 years and still no improvement in transportation and roads. damn leaders are corrupt
This is the effect of colonialism.
All African countries are passing through this same problem the colonial masters brought on Africans. The indirect rule is allowing selected blacks who are willing to do the bid of their colonial masters. Sorry for we Africans. From Nigeria.
Mon Dieu, mais Le President kisekedi chilombo veut rester au pouvoir pour faire quoi?

I wish i could help the granny and her granddaughter…
True life is africa
This documentary is heartbreaking. That human beings go through these inhumanities in their land of gold in this 21st century, is simply inconceivable, to be honest. Macron's France is sucking up the lands of Congo and taking away everything to France and leaving the resources owners in multi-dimensional poverty, hardships and sufferings, unimaginable. France and the Congolese leaders are just evil and very wicked set of people. Seeing your own people suffer like this and no milk of kindness and empathy? This is crazy.
O God Almighty, please send help to your children in Congo.
GOD am so sorry, give all the glory n honour to you
These people are specially built.
Vraiment c'est fort seigneur
God bless these unfortunate people for their struggle to survive fromdeath and deaces and hope they get some relief from these daily stuggles
