The Trailing of the sheep’s (polish Redyk) takes place in Szczawnica every October. There are hundreds of sheep’s passing by on the main road of the city accompanied by horse riders and highlanders wearing traditional clothes. If you are visiting Poland in the month of October please remember to join this event. The sheep’s spent the summer eating the grass on the local pastures. As the winter is approaching the sheep’s must move into the stables where they can stay warm until the spring when they can move back on the meadows and enjoy the fresh grass.
