Hi! New cyclist here. Found new Wilier Montegrappa 2023, shimano tiagra equipped bike for ~720$ on clearance sale which sounds to me like a pretty good deal – most of the entry level bikes usually equipped with Claris groupset and cost a little bit higher.
I don’t mind a rim brakes (I know that they are not widely used nowadays but pretty sure there will be spare parts for next 5 years or so)
I am a little bit of concerned regarding 3 things:
– oficial max tire size which 28 (maybe it will fit 30, but need to check) and it comes with 25. Is it critical for a newbie?
– there is absolutely no info on the wilier site about this model and a little info overall if you try to search. I know that wilier is well-known brand, but it looks at least strange to me
-it has 50/34 crank and 12/28t Cassette. I don’t fully understand gear ratio thing, but per my understanding it means that it is less universal than 11-34 but more smooth in scope of power difference between gears.
