Well I’ve learnt mountain biking on a 2005 Giant Rincon. The bike’s all broken, but I still used it, so I think that this bike is good enough. For light mountain biking you can use every tipe of MTB. I think it will handle well, but if you want a better experience, than I think you should upgrade to something better.

It’s old with very outdated geometry and parts. It will be much nicer on a newer bike but if it’s all you can afford and it’s really cheap then it’ll get you going

  3. Is this a good bike? No. Is it good for its price, maybe, you didn’t mention the price. It would handle some light trails but you might be better with modern geometry hardtail

  4. Depends on the price, region u live in (how is the used market there), who it is for.

This bike is more than capable doing blue trails, but that should not be the main question

  5. Ive rode with a guy on a single speed hardtail on blue and black trails and he led the pack. Bike doesn’t matter too much especially if you’re just trying to get into things, and even then plenty of people prefer older bikes anyways. That said I wouldn’t pay much at all for this especially if it needs maintenance.
