Sheffield city centre Brown St cycle lane madness road to no where.Agenda 2030
I am guessing funded by SY mayoral. Imagine only have one lane in and out of a car park how dangerous that would be. Traffic in either direction using the same carriageway.
Well it's Sheffield so what do you expect? They haven't a clue, from the huge lumbering green buses totally oversized to the dangerous cycle lanes on Shalesmoor on to Hillsborough. And all from a city which banned free train travel for pensioners. Its getting more of a dump the more they interfere in the clueless manner which they always apply.I no longer cycle in Sheffield.
Total waste of money and dangerous; cyclists, buses and taxis head on insanity (if anyone remembers the underpass on Arundel Gate in the Seventies a man was killed in a head-on collision), but Gleadless Valley much vaunted redevelopment cancelled due to lack of funds. University don't want the spaceship building any more so that will go and anyone think it won't be more flats?
Lol well over 10 years ago I remember this one when they put this one in place when I was a student no one complained about it back then and I don't think anyone does nowadays
But get ready because they will probably want to bring the Green to the grey on this road soon and obviously the left people will want it AKA Green vegetables
It's obvious there is no one with any knowledge of highways making these ever more wasteful decisions. Why anyone in Sheffield keeps voting for an incompetent Labour council with a history of failure is beyond me.
What does large panels of stainless steel do outside? Stain. It looked an eyesore very soon after being built this music centre, I can remember in the early noughties, they had one man on scaffolding with a drill with a buffer on the end, buffing it all, took him years, by the time he'd finished it looked as bad again!

It is a bit like boats going through tunnels on the canals giving a blast on the horn before entering the tunnel
An orange elephant.
Dare I say that with this road and the one in Rotherham and the Dutch roundabout
Should people be retaking their driving Tests?
Seems very dangerous and confusing to me
The council aren't bothered whether anyone uses the cycle lanes or not Tim, their only aim is to cause maximum disruption to motorists.
In the event of any RTA on roads like this, the scc should be held totally responsible, and therefore be liable for any compensation.

did the council not measure the width of buses, cars and bicycles when coming up with this? They don't have a tape measure, that'll be it.
Death of a city, seems to be a country wide disaster occurring!!
