I was going to do this ride myself from Bradford to Blackburn to see the Panopticon. But was put off by the weather tbh. So decided id take my steel bike along the canal to Skipton. As i neared Skipton the weather improved so headed across to the Atom then over to Haworth and back home. Really enjoyed it. But going to give it another try…….
Another great video that is giving ideas of roads to ride. I am a resident of Sowerby Village, so all these roads easily accessible. I think the £20 note in Lancs has Fred Dibnah on it 😂
Great Humour N PositivesN Nature Colour s. tr Gordon Tks on a foul day. I'm round long to remember that day when b,burn won league from m,utd' on d Sunday 🚲🚴
You are a hard fella going out so early in 3 degrees. I waited u ntill 1 PM before starting out in what was for me still a chilly 8 degrees. Thanks for posting and ride safe
A belting little mini series Gordon 👍🏻…that area between Haslingden and Guide holds a multitude of routes on quiet B roads, taking in Haslingden Grane, Edgworth, Belthorn and all around Darwen Moor. As a fellow Yorkshireman it makes me quite jealous 😉😁
It was cold but sunny here in Cleveland on Sunday, but today it was even better very cold early on but sunny and dry and no wind, it was a joy to be out. Thanks for the video 👍
Enjoyed the Panopticin rides Gordon and yes a Panopticon loop would be interesting and for me as well the 'singing ringing' tree was the one well done again on a 'bargain basement ride' ! and definitely Fred on the £20 nicker note 👍
I've mentioned this before, those Lancashire roads are just not as pretty as tge Yorkshire ones. Maybe leave the idea of joining up all 4 sites next year, you've got better rides to entertain us with. Maybe next time you do cross tge border though, why not go for tge biggest panopticon of them all.. Winter hill !! The climb up to the top via the service road is a good one, and on a clear day, the views to Wales, Liverpool Bay, Blackpool, and The Lakes, is worth it. The other place you need to take us, if you insist on going into Lancashire, is of course Bowland. Train to Preston, up into Bowland, and the long ride back to your neck of the woods.
Great ride gordon ,as for the the banknote it has to be the late great fred dibnah what a legend im thinking of a a ride to tonge cemetery to visit his grave

…it might as well have been Vienna😂. Very good!
In other news, I'd need some convincing that The Halo's worth a visit…
Great ride as always Gordon.
Great vid Gordon 😊Pete 🚴🏻👍
'Pick a destination' rides give us great excuses for exploring new routes. Always an enjoyable watch … and i think it's Peter Kay on the £20 notes 🙂
Lost count of the close passes I've had on Haslingden Old Road, hate it! And the late Barbara Castle MP is a contender for the £20

Another great outing into ecky thump territory Gordon and I think that it's the Goodies that appear on the bank notes in Lancashire 😂
