  1. Story:

I was pedalling up a hill, road tar seal, going slow, and my foot suddenly hit the ground. I shuddered to a halt and looked back to see what the hecking darn had just happened. There just behing me was half a crank and a pedal. I looked down my foot was clearly not on the pedal and darn, there was no pedal. I got off my bike and went back and picked up the half crank and pedal and took it back to my bike and in a weird daze matched it to the half crank on the bike. I walked home. I was using the same cranks as per your photo. They may have been the S-Works variety. I have another, the same, crank set at home…. I doubt I will use them. True story.

I love that Kermit the Frog green but I think my Manitou forks ( period ) would look more in keeping with the colour way ( they are RED… )

I don’t mean to alarm you about the cranks. I have broken Shimano LX cranks too ( attacking hills like a demon and alloy cranks do not live forever…)

Have you met our our lord and saviour – riser bars? The scrambler riser bar is smoking hot right now. Though I duly note that your head tube is decent and steerer looks tall. Great!

    I woke up in a cup of coffee…. soz. :- )

  2. The single greatest upgrade I made to my ‘96 bike was replacing the OG Judy SL with a carbon eXotic fork.

Turned it into a legit ripper.
