    1. Hmm well, spokes are replaced by measuring the end of the thread to the center of the head that’s pictured. Get that measurement and buy a couple DT Swiss spokes with spoke nipples, they’re strong and may prevent that part of the rim from having further breakage. I would not suggest going with lesser-branded spokes if it can be avoided.

      You don’t need to match the brand, but you ideally need to match the spoke dimensions. Using a different thickness or profile means the tension would be measure differently. Not a big deal if you just bang it on, tighten until it’s straight, and don’t mind it coming loose again at some point. But for building strong wheels, equal tension is the most crucial thing.
