I sent my bike to a trusted mechanic to install a shigura setup. The rear brakes feels like rubber I can touch the handlebar with the lever even when the lever position is as far as possible from the handlebar.
Is worth noting the lever is from AliExpress and the mechanic it's blaming it for the rubber feel. Also the mechanic helper fell testing it out and scratch the entire lever.
Don't know what to do.

They damaged it, they should provide a replacement. Brake levers are cheap – if it were my shop I’d just give you a Magura or so lever.Â
That kinked hose is unusable anyway. Major danger and if they gave it to you like that they’re almost criminally negligent. A shop should never give out a bike like this.Â
that’s a horrible line bend. i wouldn’t feel comfortable riding it.
i would have the shop redo it or do it myself.
the shop should have given you some reparations for damaging your bike
Your mechanic is a dumbass and the lever is fine for the job. The hose is probably the issue. I have the same setup with the same lever and the feel is better than ever.
