I ride mostly packed dirt, bad roads, roads with friends, gravel in the woods etc. but very rarely proper off road. Used to do longer distance rides. Right now I run 700/46mm tires, tubeless of course. I love the fluffiness of a big fat slick though. Am I stupid for wanting to go 650b carbon wheels with big fat slicks or knobby tires in winter?
Pick related, current setup with to be replaced wheel set.

Probably not worth the money for the riding you’re describing.
