Hi Bikepacking friends!
I'm currently bikepacking through Turkey and have a bit of an issue. Any guidance from seasoned mechanics would be very much appreciated🤞
I've taken my back wheel off to pump it up and shake the sealant around (tubeless tyres) and the cassette along with the freehub (Hope pro RS 4) has fallen off 😬
From watching YouTube and some amateur investigation, it looks like the seal is missing as well (not sure if this is related?). I have managed to put it all back together (carefully or it falls apart) and the back wheel is back on my bike. It seems to work okay now…
Does anyone have any idea why the cassette / freehub would fall off? Is it safe to keep riding?
For context, I had the bike serviced about a month ago and got them to check all the bearings and bottom bracket etc. 😬 On a separate note, they also greased the living daylights out of my hub 😂 I was wondering why it was so quiet.

Should not be an issue. Hope hubs are just put together. You can pull off the cassette and clean and regrease the freewheel. The sealant will only increase longevity.
It’s supposed to do that, that’s how you clean and lubricate it.
