I bought an used Cube Acid 2018 like a month ago and I didn't knew too much at that time. And after using it all this time, the rear hub is pissing me off. It has a very high angle until the pedals engage (about 30°).
I feel like I am about to break the chain when I pedal kick, even when I'm already pedaling.

I want to change the rear hub but keep the same cassette, because I've changed it and the chain right away when I bought the bike.

    This is the bike: https://archiv.cube.eu/en/2018/104100

    Rear hub:
    Shimano FH-M3050, QR, Centerlock

    Cassette:
    Shimano SLX CS-M7000, 11-42T

How can I figure out what rear hubs with more engagement points are compatible with the actual rear wheel without changing the spokes and also to be compatible with the cassette?
As I find out, the hub has the Shimano HG spline M.

    1. Find a hub with the same number of speeds, and figure out if your hub has boost/super boost spacing, and make sure it’s through axle or QR to match

    2. New hub without changing the spokes? Very unlikely. Hubs come in a number of different dimensions, and the chances of one having the features you want and the exact same dimensions are low.

Unless you’re willing to learn how to build wheels and have the equipment, your best bet is a new rear wheel.
