    1. The best bike is the one that gets you riding. Doing modifications like that also help you understand the different components and how it all works. I love fall riding, hope you had fun out there on your bike!

Took me 2 seconds to identify Oklahoma trails lol. GG this is good as any entry level marlin or talon.

first comment couldn’t have said it best. as long as you are riding who cares. now as you progress having a better bike does help honestly. it took me one season to go from my beginner hardtail to upgrading to a full suspension. i bought the bikes all at the same shop and was able to trade in the previous one to put money towards a new one. now i’m riding a 5k enduro, and while it dosent make you better, it gives you a little more confidence in soaking up the mistakes.

Fork and tires are going to be $500+ to get stuff of quality, possibly way more if you get a top of the line fork (~$1,000). At that point, is it even a “Target bike” anymore? The frames on those bikes are usually fine enough its the components that suck.

Why not upgrade your Diamondback and learn mechanics on that bike? I’m assuming the diamondback is better.
