Cycling “Le Tour de Bourgogne” in 6 days – Digoin Aquaduct + EuroVelo 6
In May 2024 I cycled the “Tour de Bourgogne a Velo” in the Burgundy region of France.
A very pleasant ride and perfect for people who want to avoid the “hassle” of the transportation of bicycle and cyclist back to the starting point of a tour
I stayed in hotels for 2 nights and camped for 3 nights.
Highlights:
* Cycling infrastructure
* Availability of eating / sleeping / shopping options
* Mostly easy cycling, a bit more strenuous in the stretch from Dijon to Paray le Monial
* Beautiful gentle scenery, specially in the wine region after Baune.
This fourth video of this trip is about the stretch I ride from Palinges to Cercy la Tour. Highlight of the day was absolutely the stunning Canalbridge / Aquaduct at the town of Digoin. Furthermore I really enjoyed the country side in this region.
From the start in Palinges we continue on the Eurovelo 6 along the Canal du Centre and the Canal Lateral de la Loire. Near Decize we reach the Canal de Nivernais. From here the Eurovelo 6 continues West, but we go East, toward the town of Cercy la Tour where I pitch my tent at Camping du Port.
Enjoy the video!!

The animal you saw could be a polecat (bunzing in het Nederlands), it didn’t look like otter habitat. Houdoe.
Superb countryside, love the villages too. Thanks again for sharing the journey with us, houdoe.
