I installed a new chain and now I have the skips. It happens when I shift to the 3 smaller rear cogs. I was kind of surprised because the teeth looked pretty good to me, but the space between them might be worn after all?
Could it also cause skipping because I added an extra chain link to my new chain?
When I’m keeping an eye on my front chain rings while riding it does not look like it’s skipping there, so the issue lies in the back?

Chain will not skip because of the length, also you can’t judge by the look of cogs are ok.
How old was chain, what wear it was showing, how old freewheel?
