First time shooting MTB. I learned a lot of new things about shooting this kind of sport.

It’s very difficult to shoot in the woods with the changing weather. You set the camera according to the sun, and by the time the guys get to the shooting point, the sky is already covered with clouds. Then during color correction it was difficult to align the shots with each other. Plus you have to choose locations and trail shooting points in advance, so that the rider was in focus and not lost against the background of the forest. And you can’t shoot on autofocus either. Or you have to close the aperture, which means that it gets even darker.

But the hardest part is chasing the bikes. I’m more tired than the riding itself. And the next day, my legs gave out.

But actually it was fun. The guys enjoyed riding. And I enjoyed shooting it.

Shot on Sony FX30 / Tamron 17-70 2.8F / Handheld & DJI Mini 2
