My brother and I have dreamed of some brother bonding time to explore the stunning landscapes of Norway on two wheels, and in the summer of 2022 we were finally making it happen. But our trip isn’t just about the scenery but also being able to spend some time together.

Tour Information, Highlights and GPX Data are available here:

Throughout our journey, we will be making our way deep into the heart of the Norwegian countryside. We will be passing through dense forests, rolling hills, and towering mountains, all while taking in the fresh air and enjoying the thrill of the ride.

With the kind support from www.rent-a-ktm.com my brother, who normally rides a 1998 Harley Davidson Fat Boy, was equipped with the perfect motorcycle for this adventure: A 2021 KTM 1290 Super Adventure S.

He also received a brand new Klim Badlands Goretex suit and SIDI Goretex boots for this trip to protect him from the elements – which were absolutely essential as we would find out later during the trip.

If you are interested in riding in Norway and you need a motorycle and riding gear there is no better place than Stephan’s motorcycle rental place which you can access through both of these links. For 2023 his lineup of motorcycles will also include other brands like BMW inlcuding the popular BMW R 1250 GS. Plus you will get the complete Roadbook of this trip including the GPX data if you rent a motorcycle.

I was so blown away by the performance of the latest Klim Badland Goretex gear that I retired my trusted Klim Lattidude suit after more than 100,000 km for a brand new 2022 Badlands Goretex suit. I was very happy that I could try on the jacket and especially the pants for the correct sizing – as Stephan has most common sizes in his store to rent out gear with his motorcycle it took the guess work out. I don’t know of another place in Germany that has so many sizes ready to try on.

  1. Unfortunately, having your camera coupled with your head makes for unpleasant photography. I could not watch till the end, because if you look at your footage and those jerky movements, you may understand that it ruins the pleasure.
It is a real pity, because I liked the narrative. But I had to bail out.
Next time, please try to have your camera mounted on a fixed point. Chest, shoulder, motorcycle.

  2. At least you was not fishing, i dislike very much the german campervan tourist that steal much fish and take is over the border, fishing over the limit

  3. I think I saw you guys on your way from Stavanger to Bergen. I remember the bikes and that camera on your helmet when you drove by my house here on Stord. 🙂 And today this video came up on my feed. 😀

  4. Was hoping to see Strynnefjellsvegen in this, such an amazing road. Drove it with a rental car a few years ago during summer and had my mind blown by it's magic.

  5. I'm a pilot based out of Bergen. I can't count how many times I've looked down on the roads below and longed for a roadtrip like this! Lucky guys, glad you enjoyed yourself and thanks for sharing!

  8. hi this is marvelous! nice ride and video captures! One question about Day6, at Trollstigen, you said you ride down once and up again. Is that the same zigzag route? or there is a second road to cross Trollstigen? thank you!

  9. Hey… looks like you had an awesome trip….
You might have said in the video: but what months were you in Norway? And would you think that you had chosen that time period well for the weather?
Other question: can’t make out the make of your lids.. ? They are cool looking
…. and thanks for taking me around Norway… 🇳🇴

  10. Hi ! Nice video 😀

  11. Hi guys
    Nice video, i saw everything
I'm from Brasil but i live in Macau (Asia)
Next june/july 2025 I and my cousin will gonna make the trip Porto (Portugal ) until Preikestolen (Norway)

We go until HIRTSHALS to take the SHIP/FERRY to KRISTIANSAND.

    Kristiansand > Stavanger

    Question:

From Kristiansand to Stavanger…the road is good ?
Do you have any recommendations you could give me?

    Any suggestion?

Do we need to buy a ticket online in advance for these ferries or can we buy it at the time of boarding?

If I need to buy in advance, could you tell me which website I buy?

By the way, my great-grandmother was German from Klostermansfeld.

On this trip in the summer of 2025, on the way out we will sleep in Delmenhorst/Germany and on the way back in Dusseldorf.

    Thanks

  12. If you are so impressed by the electrical propulsion, why didn't you buy yoursel an electrical motorcycle instead of gasoline powered? 😂 😜

  13. I really enjoy watching videos like this from my country.

    Glad you enjoyed Norway!

Pro-tip: when editing – remember to put your music on a stereo track.
That way it pans out (in your headphones).
Sounds like you've put it on a mono track (I'm only 10 minutes into the video).
