I’ve had the chance to embark on some truly unforgettable bikepacking adventures across the UK over the last couple of years here on YouTube, so today I thought it would be fun to go over the not so fun routes I have taken on with the routes I would never ride again. Hope you enjoy!

    1. I had the same thoughts about the Cairngorm loop. I'd love to do the outer loop again but the section from Glenmore to Blair Atholl I'll never ride again. The ride down Glen Tilt was fabulous but the hours of hike a bike to get there I never want to repeat.

    2. The Outer Loop was my first experience of gravel bike packing, done over 3 days with a pal, staying in accommodation and taking advantage of cafes & pubs.

Brilliant fun and proper easy riding in stunning surroundings.

I avoid hike a bike routes where possible, thanks.

    3. Your advice is valuable when it comes to these routes!
I rode part of the Pennine bridle way on the EWE and likewise found it a drag, plus no views cos weather bad.
I also remember having to drag my bike up a rock face in the Lake District.
“You don’t need a bike for this”🤣🤣🤬It’s not a bike packing route!
