So got a 4iii 172.5mm 105 power meter crank and installed it on my giant contend AR3 with a Tiagra crankset that I throw on.

The issue is that when I bought the bike, for some reason the LBS/Giant put it together with some random Prowheel BB/Crankset but then the back half (front & rear derailleurs and cassette) is Shimano Sora.

Bike shop said this part combo should fit but I realized when putting it together that the prowheel BB would fit the crankset, but the 105 power meter crank won’t set all the way, so the retainer thingy won’t drop into the hole in the crank. I just did 45 minutes on the rollers and it felt fine as I torqued it down well.

However do y’all think this is unsafe or likely to cause me serious injury at some point?

Or so long as I keep an eye on it and make sure it stays torqued properly should I not expect issues?

Eventually I’m planning on upgrading the group set/bottom bracket entirely but spent a pretty penny just to get here so I’m hoping this is okay. The gap is minimal, 95% of the crank is on the spindle so there’s just a 3mm (measured it with the hex key, see second photo). Plz be nice, am new to working on bikes.
