Looks like a new low resistance tire is on the market for 16" bikes: Nutrak Metropolitan. At $14/tire (https://www.condorcycles.com/en-us/products/nutrak-metropolitan-16-x-1-3-8-tyre-for-brompton?variant=40065019576470), the price is attractive… but I can't find any detailed reviews about this brand. Does anyone have any experience with this brand tire?
