    1. Here’s a Fat Kid Pro-Tip for ya. Get a bag of those cola’s, Get a bak of the Happy Cherries. Eat one of each at the same time. Boom… best Cherry Cola candy ever.

    2. Make my own carb gel. It’s just cane sugar and dextrose with whatever flavoring agent I want and a pinch of xanthan gum. Dissolve it in as little water as possible over heat. Make a quart or two at a time and store it in the fridge. I put it in small soft flasks. Dirt cheap.

      Albanese gummy bears, Fig Newtons, oatmeal raisin cookies, and southern-style sweet tea.

      Not all at once (usually).

      Sour patch kids works like pickle juice to stop cramps. During a long effort, I can’t eat the same thing, so I like jelly beans to mix up the flavors. For the most part, I rely on whole foods like dates, but I use those candies for their specific functions.

    5. I generally take swedish fish – carb-o-licious. But when Habrio Fruit Salad is available, I get that.

    6. If my water is empty and I’m in a petrol station, I mix half a cola and half an apple juice, buy some dried sausage of any sort, and any candies that make me salivate on the spot – cola bottles, gummy bears, dragibus…

      I don’t eat on most rides, but for emergencies there are Clif Bloks. Underestimated how hard a ride would be? Struggling on a long climb? Open the saddlebag, get the Clif Bloks, get moving.

      The black cherry flavour is my favourite 🙂 Apparently it contains caffeine although I’m sceptical about the dosage.
