Never have I met someone in Mexico ( I’m a Mexican citizen) say it’s a civil war. The cartels try to defend its assists against the government and take territory from OTHER cartels. Misinformation can be dangerous
Since WW2 the west has policed the world and has provided stability for the most part. Russia has always been against the west but has not had the economic power to challenge it until Now, the economic rise of China and Iran creating an Eastern club to try and steal some of the West’s worldwide influence, destabilising relations and brewing tension. Then Covid happened. The virus had devastating effects on democracies, who crippled their economies to save lives but it had little affect on the not so compassionate states. With a west less inclined to jump into costly conflicts the tension has snapped and now every hostile force is taking their chances.
We go to visit family in Mexico a lot and we are aware of some of the dangers but its not nearly as bad as this video is claiming
