I got my Continuum Onyx in April and I like it a lot but I've run into a problem that's happened two or three times.
When I'm riding, occasionally I find myself stuck at the highest resistance and twisting my shifter has no effect. When this happens, I get off the bike, look at the Envolio gear hub, and see that the two ends of the shifter gear have come out of their slots. The "latch," that closes over the shifter ends comes open and allows the two ends to come out.
I can put the shifter ends back and latch them down, even working by hand, but the fix doesn't last, after a few more weeks this happens again. I've included photos of the mechanism to show the area I'm talking about. Does anyone know a way to fix this that will last?

(P.S.: I think the first time this happened was after I changed my bicycle tires for another brand, but I found a video from Priority about how to take the rear tire off and replace it and followed the instructions. As I noted above, the gear shifting works for a while until the latch opens.)

The issue is that there is too much slack in the cable. The little adjusting barrels In your third photo is the solution.

Adjust them out, so that they take up the slack in the cable and it’ll solve your problem.
