Good afternoon all.

I own the aforementioned M3L, and would love to travel with it more.

Currently I put it in the car when driving to Europe from the UK in a Dimpa bag, but I'd like to be able to fly with it and take it on long haul trips. I don't want to check it in just in the Dimpa bag as I'd quite like it to be in 1 piece when it arrives, but I don't really want to carry it on as it's just not that convenient; I want to check it in and forget about it, although I will definitely be putting an AirTag in whatever I buy.

I'm about to take a trip to the US where things are generally cheaper and the outlets are generally much better value than ours are in the UK, so I'm looking at luggage I could buy while on holiday, and hopefully save myself some money.

I've seen the Samsonite Stryde 2 Large Glider use by people, but has anybody put an M3L in one? My main worry is buying it when I've not got the bike with me, then flying it all the way home only to find it doesn't fit and it is quite expensive in the first place.

Alternatively if anybody has any suggestions for hardshell luggage that fits, I'm open to them 😁

    1. for flying :
      – B+W Brompton Hard Case – go for TSA-compliant model and model with 4 or 8 castor wheels. Brilliantbike sells this hardcase for UK.

      – Samsonite hardcase is indeed cheaper in US, but it barely fit in there. u might have to remove the saddle and seatpost if u have extended seatpost / telescopic.

      – vincitta offers some kind of trolley bag as well. not a hard case but it has wheels for trolley mode
