Anyone have experience (negative or positive) with this bike? Nothing to write home on for the components, all entry level (SRAM SX, Rockshok Recon Silver) BUT I will be riding 80% city and occassionally hitting some midwest rooty hills. Also, I would get this bike with the intent of upgrading over time.
How does the frame behave?
Can I do better for $750?

Not a mountain bike application, don’t really care. Buy whatever mountain bike shaped object makes you happy.
It’s a bike. Is there going to be better ones for what you need sure. But this will do as well. If you like how it looks and rides buy it. If not buy something else.
I bought. GT hard tail for 550 on sale. On a medium downhill the front wheel bent and I ate shit
If it’s your first bike buy used. You’ll want something different soon enough or decide the sport isn’t for you and it’ll just collect dust.
