In this engaging and educational talk titled ”Every city can be a cycling city,” Jan Střecha explores how cities worldwide are embracing tactical urbanism to transform their streets into more cycling-friendly environments—and how Prague can follow suit. Drawing on case studies from cities that have successfully implemented these strategies, Jan highlights innovative approaches such as temporary bike lanes, pop-up parks, and pedestrian-friendly initiatives. His talk encourages a closer look at how small, incremental changes can lead to long-term transformation, and how Prague can benefit from adopting similar practices.
