Der Tag verlief emotional gesehen sehr intensiv. Am Mittag hatte ich meinen ersten Nervenzusammenbruch, da mein zweites Paket mit einem Hinterrad aus Deutschland, mich erneut nicht erreichen sollte. Diesmal wurde es zunächst falsch an Lettland statt an Litauen adressiert, dann von mir korrigiert und nach Litauen umgeleitet. Das hielt die Postgesellschaft am Ende trotzdem nicht davon ab, es wieder nach Litauen zu senden, obwohl die Stadt Klaipėda dort nicht existiert.
Eine ganze Woche hatte ich auf dieses Paket gewartet und jetzt wieder nichts! Da kann man schon einmal hyperventillieren und kurz vor einem Weinkrampf stehen. Was in drei Teufels Namen hat man falsch gemacht, um so viel Chaos erleben zu müssen …
Aber Eddy, der Chefmechaniker bei Velostreet, rettet mich. Er schickt mich zum Nachbarladen ein 26″ Hinterrad besorgen. Er demontiert das alte Rad, nimmt Zahnkranz und Bereifung ab, zieht es auf das neue Rad auf und baut es ein. Eine neue Kette ist auch fällig und fertig ist ein perfektes Reise-Cargo-Bike ohne E-Motor.
Dann musste ich nur noch ein 22,5 kg schweres Paket mit Akku, Hinterrad, Motor und Ausrüstung, die ich für die Heimfahrt nicht mehr benötige, zur Post bringen, 82 € dafür bezahlen und schon kann meine Tour weiter gehen🙏🚲⚙️👍💚♻️🌊

Ziel ist es so viel Plastikabfall und Spenden wie möglich zu sammeln, um die gemeinnützige Organisation @oneearthoneocean zu unterstützen, die mit ihren Müllsammelschiffen die Flüsse und Ozeane vom Plastikmüll befreit.
Unterwegs sind wir mit elektrifizierten Cargobikes von Velo-Lab und unterstützt werden wir von Globetrotter, Vaude, GRAVIS, Triple 2, Ilockit , Magped und One Earth One Ocean e.V.

The day was emotionally very intense. At noon, I had my first nervous breakdown, because my second package with a rear wheel from Germany, should not reach me again. This time it was first wrongly addressed to Latvia instead of Lithuania, then corrected by me and redirected to Lithuania. In the end, that still didn’t stop the postal company from sending it to Lithuania again, even though the town of Klaipėda doesn’t exist there.
I had been waiting for this package for a whole week and now nothing again! In such a situation one can hyperventilate and be on the verge of a crying fit. What in three devils’ names did one do wrong to have to experience so much chaos …
But Eddy, the head mechanic at Velostreet, saves me. He sends me to the neighboring store to get a 26″ rear wheel. He disassembles the old wheel, removes the sprocket and tires, puts it on the new wheel and installs it. A new chain is also due and there you have it, a perfect travel cargo bike without an electric motor.
Then I just had to bring a 22.5 kg package with battery, rear wheel, motor and equipment that I no longer need for the trip home to the post office, paid € 82 for it and my tour can continue🙏🚲⚙️👍💚♻️🌊

The goal is to collect as much plastic waste and donations as possible to support the non-profit organization @oneearthoneocean, which uses its garbage collection ships to rid the rivers and oceans of plastic waste.
