My carbon fork has a crack that goes vertically down a few centimeters from the top and then continues horizontally 2-3 cm to the side. Can I a) continue riding with it b) glue it c) repair it differently or d) replace the fork?

Google carbon frame repair, there are a couple of specialists in the UK who will be able to give an expert opinion. Personally, I’d recommend not riding on it. I think you’ve been lucky to spot that before the top half of the steerer tube separated from the fork…

Looks like you overtightened it over the torque specs. Did you use a torque wrench?

    3. overtorqued or maybe the compression plug didn’t go deep enough seeing as most only go down a bit farther than a standard stem height.

Why a burly eBike is spec’ed with a riser stem and a carbon steerer is beyond me.

edit: if that stem is in fact a steerer tube extender, this outcome was predictable and is the fault of whoever installed it… torqued to spec or no

    4. **Do not continue riding this.** Steertube failures can cause a serious crash. Fork replacement is cheaper than teeth replacement.

    5. May I add another option? Replace the fork now! Putting it mildly, failure happens quickly.
