Åland is a group of Finnish islands halfway across the Baltic Sea between Finland and Sweden. With population of less than 30 000 it sounded quiet enough for my attempt to get away while staying isolated.

It’s now been close to 1,5 years since the beginning of the pandemic, and this short weekender was my first chance to spend some quality time completely alone surrounded by nature.

It made me realize how much I really need it.

Borrowed bike, wild camping kit and no plan. Forgot to pack coffee.
