Hi, I came here to tell you all a little bit about my very first bikepacking, which happened this January, 2024.
I've ride from Santa Maria to Ivorá (RS, southern state of Brazil), a short one day ride on my vacation.
It has been a while since I wanted to make a bikepacking and been watching YouTube videos about this kind of adventures, but I have just one friend who likes it, but he never made a move to make the plan become more than just a future plan. Anyway, tired of waiting, I went by myself and camped on a public camping spot. It was only 44km (577m of elevation) of going on day one and 47km (368m elevation) coming back by a different route on day two.
Just posting this to pass the message tonew bikepacking adventurers like me who haven't yet went off the sofa by fear or apprehension: fight this feelings and get out there. Out there is more more fun! Do safe trips closer to home, start somewhere, go alone if you must. Just be safe and tell family and friends where you're going, keep them informed.
I can't way to do this again!
