These wires on my bike keep scratching my legs when I riding. Can I cut them off or are they important? by Yeezybeezy5283 Bicycling Bike Bike Repair Biking Cycling Repair
singlejeff on October 3, 2024 10:51 pm I would just bend them out of the way. You may be able to twist it around the put it in the hole on the brake arm
Timeline_in_Distress on October 3, 2024 11:03 pm If you cut it you have to cap it again so the ends don’t fray. Better to just do what the other person said and gently bend it towards the brakes.
Electronic_Motor_968 on October 3, 2024 11:04 pm You can loosen the bolt holding them and wrap them further around so they are pointing inwards more. Just be careful not to let the cable itself loosen in the process or your brakes won’t be as good.
Derrickc95 on October 3, 2024 11:39 pm Have to break it to you but it’s time for a new bike. That shit is donezo
Careful-One5190 on October 3, 2024 11:47 pm Bending them inwards out of the way is normal and won’t hurt a thing. Don’t cut it.
