Can i fix this myself or will it need new cables installed? Cleaning this bike up after purchasing it and not touching it for years at this point. Pandemic stuff😆
You can do it yourself. Just loosen the bolts that hold the derailleurs, reposition the cables and re-fasten. Just make sure you shift both derailleurs into the smallest cogs or chainrings before you start.

Nope! Someone didn’t thread them through the cable runners! They’ll eventually cut through your frame! Sounds daft but it can and will!
Slacken the bolts pinching the cables in each derailleur and then pull the cables free and thread through, pull tight and pinch the bolts back up.

It shifts fine actually.
