Hey y'all! Been riding these 700×28 gator hardshells for a while, and I don't think they're for me. Rolling resistance feels like I'm riding through sand at times, the ride is pretty rough too.

Anyway, I'm currently looking at 28/30 Vittoria Zaffiros – it looks like they have a bit less rolling resistance than hardshells but still more puncture protection than a gp5000. Might try tpu tubes as well just because (current ones are 18-25c conti race tubes). Anyone have experience with them? Open to recommendations. (Skinwalls preferred 😁)

Not looking to be the fastest on the road, but a balance would be nice.

  1. Gravelking slicks, are a decent compromise.

    GP5ks are best overall.

4 seasons are decent, but feel sluggish and disconnected to me.

Corsa Controls are good, but a little heavy. Corsas are excellent, as are veloflex.

But what do you want and how do you ride?
