I recently purchased a Grail after triple checking measurements, reading through Canyon’s site, a ton of threads here, etc. My plan is to use it around town, bike paths, gravel roads, some single track, etc. Nearly all my experience is from mtn biking so road and gravel positioning is obviously very different.

My measurements (75.6” & 36.2”) put me solidly between L and XL for the Grail and pretty much everything recommended sizing down, so I did.

After a couple rides of 25-35 miles, the L has generally felt pretty good, but I don’t have a lot of context so my wheels are spinning on whether or not I got the right size. I have noticed a lot of weight on my hands, tricep soreness, and head/neck stiffness, though some of that I assume is the more aggressive position. The 30 day return window looms so I’m looking at maybe getting a bike fit, but even tho I want to increase mileage and get more into it, I’m not that serious.

Also maybe not relevant, but the size recommendation leans more toward XL for a lot of other Canyon models, it’s really just the Grail overlap.

What will I be most comfortable on with longer rides, not descending something wild?

Also, any chance someone in the Denver area has an XL Grail I could try out?
