It’s been some time since I’ve shared any updates about my 1990 Specialized Hardrock. There haven’t been many changes but I figured I’d share some before the bike goes down for maintenance.
Since my last post, I have been searching for a front rack/ small basket setup. Only problem is that I wanted a full Nitto front setup but didn’t have Nitto funds to support the project. Instead I opted to purchase this Adept front rack off of EBay. From the very beginning of the project I knew I wanted a shallow basket because I don’t really like super deep baskets and what I plan hauling won’t require anything larger. So I opted for the Wald 137 Racer basket. Personally I think the combo works well however, now I’m not sure if I’m a fan of the front rack/basket setup. I guess I’ll have to give it some time and take it on a few rides and get some use out of it. Who knows, it might end up on marketplace.
Other than the front rack, I also finally upgraded my front light to a limited spec Knog blinder 900 in purple and it’s been a great addition.
