if i was you, i’d start hitting the gym. if you dont have a gym membership already i’d get a month pass just to keep your legs & cardio up.. it sucks to have to recondition after a few weeks off.. or get a cheap stationary bike or a nice lil trainer 🤷♂️

Get a smart trainer – or a regular trainer – don’t lose that fitness!!
You go slightly insane. Happens with injuries, for me it was a revelation about how big a part of my life cycling actually is. It totally sucks, and you have my sympathy for it.
I can say definitely that what you should not do is attempt to rush your recovery. Be careful trying to maintain fitness and always defer to your body’s signals. It can be amazingly easy for something small and stupid to result in permanent issues.

Get up extra early and walk to where you need to go. Public transportation buy a bus pass they’re cheap

That sucks.
I had the same happen to me last night, I was just lucky I didn’t break any bones.
I did however smash my head and got a concussion, so I’ve got some time off work while that heals.
Cars suck.

If you can afford one, ride an indoor trainer– play a movie or some YouTube videos and before you know it you’ll have a couple hours of riding.
If you don’t have access to an indoor trainer, then single-legged squats are a good way to keep your legs strong. I like to start with a set of 10 on each leg, then 15, 20, 25, etc all the way up to a set of 50 on each leg before going back down to 45, 40, 35, etc all the way back down to 10. You can keep your heart rate up pretty easily if you’re going from one leg to the other without stopping, and changing the reps every set is a great way to break up the monotony of it.
Heal swiftly!! Im on week 4 of recovery right now. Maybe two more weeks and I can get outdoors again. Anyway, I hope you got a police report/drivers information because you deserve to be compensated for your injuries. In the meantime, heal! Your fitness will still be there when you recover, you’ll just have to do a little digging.

Rollerblade! It’s even more enjoyable than track bikes at a high level.
Yoo this exact thing happened to me before. I was biking down a bike lane and a car turned into a driveway right through me. I went somersaulting over their hood and landed on my shoulder breaking it. Conveniently, the driveway was for a hospital and a nurse was walking into work and helped me. Bike was actually not really damaged, but they cut off my favorite shirt at the time.
