don't want to be mean, but quizzes really aren't for older people. One very knowledgeable one might help on bonuses… but two at the same time don't help, in my opinion
"Every short story does truly begin with creation and end with a last judgement. The substance of all such paganism may be summarised thus. It is an attempt to reach the divine reality through the imagination alone; in its own field reason does not restrain it at all." The Everlasting Man, G. K Chesterton
Hello again! The is was a very good match between two teams that were nearly equal in talent. That said, it was apparent that the winning team would prevail fairly early. At least to me. The captain of the winning team was just too quick, and too knowledgeable for the losing team to counter. And so we have seen the last of them. My best to both teams, and to each individual.
As always, the USA and the Netherlands say they are from the home country but the Third Worldies always claim to be from Oxford or Cambridge Town. It's a UC oddity.
I spent 5 years working in a factory that made polymer film in Terre Haute Indiana. Terre Haute has the best rated undergraduate school in the US for science and engineering, Rose Hulman Institute of Technology. Not saying that Mr Whitaker went there. But for a town of 40,000 or so, it's a pretty amazing place. I made some good friends there.
My only negative comment about this show is that anyone from another planet learning about our history, geography and entertainment, would think that everything that has ever happened (and the entire population of the World for that matter) happened in the Northern Hemisphere …specifically UK and USA with occasional nods to some European countries. A good general knowledge quiz is just that…general, other wise it is Mastermind! But I love Amol, so all is not lost! 👨🏻🎓🧑🏻🎓👩🎓
I watch this show to learn and I really hate it when some ill attitude takes away from the learning. The team from Birkbeck could be more united, and regard your team mate maybe a little more. Acting surprise when an answer given to you was correct like you expected it be wrong…. That as just disgusting
CP: Thank you so much for this! You rule (my Tuesday mornings)! Whitake had his hands full carrying his team. Also, the lack of science questions probably played into his (full) hands. Let's see what the next round brings for him. His teammates were pretty disappointing. Birkbeck produced much more of a team effort, but they looked a bit lethargic at times.
Almost a one man show from Whitaker…great breadth of knowledge and quick off the mark. Not a lot of contribution from a few members of both teams. Well done to Darwin! Thanks CP!
I don't think I have ever seen someone answering all the starters for their team. If we follow S51, Whitaker can be a one-man team and lead them to the finals.

Indiana carrying England
Stewart at 10’10” – disgraceful!
Whitaker's voice and body do not match at all
Ah the weekly dose of "I wish I had gone to a better university so I could answer these damn questions…"
A convincing win but it did depend largely on one contestant, who was impressive. Thank you CP.

Whitaker must have a sore back from carrying the team
Another very informative episode. Thank you for uploading !
Good match, thank you!
Birkbeck vs Whitaker
Thanks for sharing from Ukraine/
Watched this from my DC hospital bed. Thank you CP! Darwin was a one man show again just like Jason Galfinos was a few years ago.
Darwin Whitaker is a machine
As always, the USA and the Netherlands say they are from the home country but the Third Worldies always claim to be from Oxford or Cambridge Town. It's a UC oddity.
Whitaker is a star player
Birkbeck was so annoying to watch. I particularly disliked their captain.

Pls upload the s51 e30.

Birkbeck Van Onzenoort is the new Birkbeck McMillan
Let's hope Darwin Whitaker doesn't get the flu or Covid for Darwin's next match.
I like Whitaker’s fraying sweatshirt! I wonder if it’s a lucky charm, not that he needs one!
Quite literally a one-man team. Wow.

Whitaker vs Birkbeck. Great match.

"What's that?" 😂
