Summer in Helsinki Vlog 🇫🇮 | Exploring Helsinki, Minigolf, Tasty Eats & Midnight Sun✨

Hi everyone! We hope you had a wonderful summer and found time to relax.☀️💜 We also had quite a busy summer with our internships, but luckily, we still managed to enjoy some fun moments and the warm, sunny weather.🥳 This video is a quick recap of our summer, where we spent lots of time outdoors.✨

One great thing about summer is the long days—here, the sun doesn’t set until just before midnight, which makes it feel like there are extra hours in the day.🌅⏳ We kicked off with some tennis because it’s always nice to practice while soaking up the sunshine. It’s funny, though—after a break, it can be tough to get back into the swing of things.😆 A couple of times, the heat was almost unbearable, but we kept hydrated and took breaks when needed. If you haven’t tried tennis yet, we definitely recommend playing with a group of friends.🥳

We also spent a lot of time walking, running, and cycling around the city. One of our goals was to visit the newly renovated Särkiniemi Beach, which has been praised as one of the best beaches in Helsinki. ⛱️🌊 The view was beautiful and serene, but the water quality was a bit disappointing. From late June to July, the water gets full of algae, which makes swimming uncomfortable and even toxic.😫 On a brighter note, it was great to catch up with friends after a long time. Aada’s uncle got an adorable new puppy named Usva (Haze).🐶🐾 She’s super cute and energetic, and she loved the toy we gave her. She’s a Husky-Retriever mix, which explains her gorgeous fur.🥰💜

We also spent a lot of time in Helsinki and even treated ourselves to a short getaway at a hotel there. It was so nice to stroll through the beautiful streets, enjoy a relaxing sauna and bath, and indulge in a delicious, generous breakfast.🤩🧘‍♀️ Later in the video, you’ll see us trying out an outdoor gym in Katajanokka, which was both fun and functional. We highly recommend checking them out—they’re free and open to everyone.🤸‍♂️🏋️‍♀️ During our time in Helsinki, we also visited some beautifully painted electrical boxes. Those three were done by Heikki’s sister and her friends, and you can find them scattered around the city.🎨👩‍🎨
